Hybron is an advanced manufacturing company pioneering a new composites manufacturing process that enables complex, high-performance parts to be produced 10-100 times faster than traditional methods at a fraction of the cost. Backed by the Northrop Grumman Technology Accelerator and recently closing an oversubscribed $25M seed round, we are rapidly growing to commercialize and mass-produce composite products at a scale never seen before.
Our current focus is applying our proprietary process to composite artillery shells, solid rocket motor nozzles, gas turbine engine components, and airframes. We are reshoring U.S. manufacturing and building capabilities for the warfighter.
This is a full-time, in-person role at our El Segundo facility. As the first Stress Engineer at this early-stage deep tech startup, you will lay the foundation for and own the structural analysis of Hybron's fiber-reinforced composites. You will build and validate advanced FEA models, guide design and material choices, and ensure parts meet demanding aerospace, defense, and energy requirements.
Your work will bridge simulation, testing, and manufacturing, directly shaping how our technology is applied and optimized for mission-critical applications. Because you are joining a rapidly growing company, you will wear many hats, spanning project management, requirements identification, simulation, product design, testing, quality inspection, and customer engagement.
This role offers the opportunity to significantly influence product development, strategy, and the trajectory of the company. Your work will tangibly impact both our organization and the composites industry, allowing for rapid professional gains in an environment that encourages growth and innovation.
As Hybron grows, structural analysis is expected to become a key capability. As the first stress engineer on the team, you will have significant opportunity to build and lead Hybron's composites structural analysis team. There are clear pathways to manager, director, and beyond, with the chance to spearhead initiatives that shape our simulation capabilities and methodology.
We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We consider qualified applicants regardless of background.
