We utilize the newest technology and a diverse fleet of over 80 vehicles, including ALS, BLS, Critical Care/RN ambulances, Paramedic Chase Cars, and Supervisor Response Vehicles. Notably, MedEx was the first ambulance service in the country to utilize telemedicine as an ambulance provider. Our box-style (Type III) ambulances feature state-of-the-art technology, such as the Stryker Power-LOAD system and Zoll X-Series cardiac monitors. We proudly serve hundreds of outstanding healthcare facilities throughout the region, including Lurie Children's Hospital, University of Chicago Medicine, UI Health, and Swedish Hospital.

About the Role

As an EMS Operations Manager, you will join a team of highly skilled and dedicated professionals to help oversee our daily operations. This role is designed to ensure the seamless execution of emergency and non-emergency care while maintaining a safe and efficient working environment. You will be a pivotal link between field personnel, hospital discharge teams, and service providers, ensuring transports are scheduled and completed on time.

In this position, you will work directly on-site to ensure patients are ready for discharge and assist crews in maintaining safety standards. Your day will involve supervising field personnel, responding to incidents, and handling customer or patient complaints. You will also play a key role in developing and maintaining quality assurance and improvement processes, assisting with billing inquiries, and providing technical assistance to our service providers. By upholding the rules and regulations set forth in the employee handbook, you will help drive the continued success of our operations.
