About the Role
We are seeking a part-time Job Coach to empower clients by fostering independent life skills. In this role, you will help individuals apply their natural gifts and talents to their work responsibilities while developing the social and professional skills necessary to navigate the workplace successfully.
Success in this position requires creativity, exceptional people skills, superior organization, and a contagious positive attitude. You will act as a liaison in the community to ensure smooth transitions and continuity of service, promoting integration at work sites through social interaction opportunities and encouraging participation in activities available to all workers.
Day in the Life
Your day will involve instructing clients on specific job and work skills, modeling good decision-making, and accessing appropriate resources to provide high-quality services. You will complete client assessments, assist in developing program plans, and communicate openly with Employment Specialists regarding client performance and behavior.
A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to ensuring production and quality standards are met daily. This includes training clients in emergency procedures and safety measures, assisting with accurate timecard recording, and maintaining detailed documentation of services provided, including progress notes, billing sheets, and timesheets. You will also travel to various sites as assigned to provide direct job coaching support.
