This full-time, in-person position serves as a vital link between job seekers and employment opportunities. Under general supervision, you will interview, assess, and counsel eligible applicants to help them overcome barriers to employment. The core mission involves developing individualized employment plans, connecting participants with work training opportunities, and facilitating referrals for on-the-job experience.
You will act as a case manager, utilizing interviewing and counseling techniques to guide individuals from various backgrounds toward their vocational goals. A significant portion of the role involves researching community resources, interpreting complex Federal and State regulations, and maintaining extensive records to track participant progress. You will also be responsible for designing and conducting training sessions to improve job readiness, while negotiating supportive services necessary for success.
Success in this role requires establishing and maintaining cooperative working relationships with a diverse network of stakeholders. You will collaborate closely with prospective employers to develop employment opportunities and negotiate supportive services for participants. Additionally, you will work with community agencies to access resources that assist participants in becoming job-ready, ensuring a coordinated approach to placement.
Candidates selected for this position will be expected to possess a valid Driver's License and Automobile Liability Insurance, as extensive travel is required to fulfill the duties of the role. The position demands flexibility to work varying hours and travel to various locations to support participants and employers.
