At BMO Financial Group, we are driven by a shared Purpose: Boldly Grow the Good in business and life. This calls on us to create lasting, positive change for our customers, our communities, and our people. By working together, innovating, and pushing boundaries, we transform lives and businesses while powering economic growth around the world.
As a member of the BMO team, you are valued, respected, and heard. We strive to help you make an impact from day one, providing the tools and resources you need to reach new milestones while helping our customers reach theirs. From in-depth training and coaching to manager support and network-building opportunities, we support you in gaining valuable experience and broadening your skillset.
In this Commercial Sales & Service position, you will analyze credit information to support lending decisions and processes for new and existing commercial banking loans and credit solutions within an assigned portfolio. You will serve as a critical partner to Relationship Managers, making credit decisions and recommendations that align client requirements with the bank's risk appetite and policies.
Your day-to-day involves negotiating loan structures and terms, assessing client repayment capacity using financial models, and signing off on new, renewal, and extension loans within your delegated authority. You will monitor portfolio performance to identify deteriorating credit conditions, analyze metrics, and spot broader industry trends to manage risk and uncover opportunities. Beyond analysis, you will lead proposal development, deliver presentations to capture new business, and network with industry contacts to gather competitive insights. Your goal is to build and maintain strong client relationships that ensure long-term financial performance while minimizing BMO's risk exposure through adherence to credit policies and regulatory standards.
