About the Role
You will serve as an Emergency Department Physician at Baptist Neighborhood Hospital - Shavano Park, a "micro-hospital" located along Loop 1604 on the northwest side of San Antonio. Unlike freestanding emergency departments, our facility offers 24/7 emergency medical care with streamlined admitting procedures, highly qualified specialists, and the latest diagnostic equipment.
In this role, you will provide care in a facility with 8 beds and a volume of approximately 3,000 patients. You will work 12-hour shifts with 24-hour physician coverage per day. Physicians in this position will rotate shifts between various Baptist Neighborhood Hospital locations in the San Antonio area, including Zarzamora, Kelly, Westover, Hausman, Shavano, Thousand Oaks, Overlook, Schertz, and Converse. You will utilize Picis for documentation and have access to evidence-based Clinical Management Tools (CMTs) and experienced physicians available 24/7/365 for bedside support.
