As a Registered Nurse, you will assume 24-hour accountability for planning and providing direct professional nursing care to a defined patient population, ranging from neonates through adolescence. You will serve as a vital link between patients, families, and the healthcare team, ensuring care is delivered in strict accordance with professional standards, CCMC policies, and state and federal regulations.
In this position, you will function as a clinical expert, utilizing the nursing process to deliver safe, appropriate care while demonstrating cultural sensitivity in every interaction. Your day-to-day responsibilities include partnering with families to evaluate outcomes, providing comprehensive education on care aspects, and managing patient documentation with precision. You will also serve as a Resource Nurse, contributing to unit leadership by delegating tasks to clinical staff and participating in the professional development of colleagues through preceptor and mentor activities.
Specific to this role, you may serve as a triage nurse to prioritize and expedite patient care based on established protocols, or act as a trauma nurse responder. You will also engage in patient and community healthcare provider follow-up, developing a working understanding of the legal implications regarding evidence gathering and handling.
