We are seeking a full-time Eligibility Specialist to play a vital role in connecting uninsured patients with essential health coverage. In this position, you will enroll patients in the State of Hawaii Medicaid (MedQuest) or the Federal Marketplace while educating them on additional health insurance assistance programs available through Expanded Medicaid and the Affordable Care Act.
Beyond direct patient enrollment, you will serve as a bridge to our community by attending and speaking at public events regarding health insurance options. You will also assist the Director of the Pu'uhonua Prison Program with pre- and post-re-entry support for individuals returning to the community. This role requires navigating complex regulations with accuracy and compassion, ensuring that vulnerable individuals can access the care they need.
