The Electronics and Environmental (E&E) Technician II serves as a critical guardian of the F-16 aircraft's operational readiness. This position is dedicated to the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of the aircraft's electrical and environmental systems, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability required for optimal aircrew performance. The role exists to bridge the gap between complex technical diagnostics and the high-stakes reality of flight operations, contributing directly to the mission success of our aircrew.
Technicians in this role operate within a dynamic, high-tempo environment, often facing hazardous conditions including loud noises, chemicals, and varying weather. The day-to-day involves a blend of hands-on mechanical work and advanced technical analysis, from isolating avionics malfunctions to performing complete calibrations and system rebuilds. Beyond technical execution, this position carries a leadership component, requiring the incumbent to provide training, technical guidance, and on-the-job instruction to client technicians while ensuring all work meets rigorous quality standards.
This position is unique in its requirement for overseas deployment. Technicians must demonstrate the ability to operate effectively and self-sufficiently in foreign environments, managing local navigation, communication, and personal sustainability. The role demands strict adherence to host nation legal, regulatory, and safety requirements, as well as the ability to work in combat-related protective gear when necessary.
Candidates selected for this role must successfully navigate a comprehensive pre-employment process. This includes background checks, employment verification, security clearance reviews, and reference checks. Please note that this position is contingent upon the award of the underlying government contract; while an offer may be extended prior to award, employment is strictly dependent on contract funding.
We are committed to maintaining a secure and professional workforce. Successful candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain a US Secret clearance and appropriate host nation clearances, with ongoing eligibility subject to periodic review. We require strict adherence to all security protocols and procedures. As an equal opportunity employer, we consider qualified applicants regardless of background, provided they meet the stringent security and physical requirements necessary for this specialized aviation role.
