JT4, LLC provides engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). We develop and maintain realistic, integrated test and training environments, preparing the nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
As an Electronic Technician, you will specialize in ground-based electronic systems, working on various types of electronic equipment and related devices. Your work involves a combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, overhauling, troubleshooting, modifying, constructing, and testing. You will apply technical knowledge of electronic principles to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, engineering data, and test equipment. The role requires diagnosing equipment malfunctions, effecting repairs to restore equipment to required operating conditions, and troubleshooting to the component level. You will also manipulate computer keyboards, interpret computer displays, and ensure the safe operation of transmitting and receiving equipment, digital and analog computers, microwave amplifiers, and antenna positioning systems.
This position involves working at remote locations with some shift work and occasional overnight assignments. Tasks are performed both indoors and outdoors, potentially on even or uneven surfaces that may be dry or wet. Outdoor duties may take place on gravel or shingled roofs where grease or oil may be present. The role requires climbing stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. (heavier items require assistance or mechanical aid). A government vehicle is used on an as-needed basis.
This tasking is in support of a Federal Government Contract that requires U.S. citizenship. Candidates must be eligible for a government security clearance, hold a state-issued driver's license, or possess other required licenses/certifications. The inability to obtain and maintain these clearances or licenses may affect employment eligibility. While we can assist with obtaining International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians (ISCET) certification, it must be completed within the first 90 days of employment.
