JT4, LLC provides critical engineering and technical support to multiple western test ranges for the U.S. Air Force, Space Force, and Navy under the Joint Range Technical Services Contract (J-Tech II). Our mission is to develop and maintain realistic, integrated test and training environments that prepare the nation's war-fighting aircraft, weapons systems, and aircrews for today's missions and tomorrow's global challenges.
As an Electronic Technician II, you will specialize in ground-based electronic systems, working directly with the equipment that keeps these vital test ranges operational. Under general technical guidance, you will serve as a key contributor to the integrity of our test and training environments. Your day-to-day involves a dynamic combination of installing, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide array of electronic equipment, including transmitting and receiving gear, digital and analog computers, microwave amplifiers, high-voltage power supplies, and antenna positioning systems.
You will apply your technical knowledge to solve basic problems using diagrams, schematics, and engineering data. Whether diagnosing equipment malfunctions to restore required operating conditions or manipulating computer interfaces to interpret displays, your work ensures that our systems are ready for deployment. This role requires a hands-on approach, often involving component-level troubleshooting, soldering, and the interpretation of complex technical manuals.
This position offers a unique field experience, as work is performed both indoors and outdoors at remote locations. You may be required to work shift schedules and occasional overnight assignments. Outdoor duties can take place on even or uneven surfaces, which may be dry, wet, gravel, or shingled roofs, and may involve exposure to grease or oil. The role demands physical agility, including the ability to climb stairs, ladders, towers, and scaffolds, and to lift up to 50 lbs (with heavier loads requiring assistance).
Tasking for this position is in support of a Federal Government Contract, which requires U.S. citizenship. Candidates must be eligible for a government security clearance, and the inability to obtain and maintain the required clearance may affect employment eligibility. Additionally, some jobs may require a state-issued driver's license or other specific certifications.
To be considered, applicants must possess education or training from an accredited college or technical school in math, basic electronics, and microwave theory (or a military equivalent) combined with three years of hands-on experience. We look for individuals with demonstrated proficiency in general electronics, familiarity with various tools, and a solid understanding of electronic, electro-mechanical, and computer systems.
JT4 is an Equal Opportunity Employer. We are committed to building a diverse workforce and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or veteran status.
