Versar has a unique opportunity for self-motivated security professionals to support important missions within the Federal Government. This Senior Security Technician role requires a highly skilled individual capable of working independently to meet strict deadlines and response times.
In this position, you will serve as a technical leader, supervising and delegating tasks to junior technicians while managing the design, procurement, installation, and lifecycle replacement of Physical Access Control Systems (PACS), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS), and other physical security subsystems. You will ensure all equipment remains operational and compliant with local, state, federal, and ADA requirements. The role involves coordinating third-party integrations, managing software updates, and training customer personnel on ESS systems. You will also maintain essential inventory, resolve service issues promptly, and generate reports to support the security program.
This is a full-time, onsite position primarily located in the Washington, DC metro area. Please note that this position is contingent upon the award of the contract.
Candidates must successfully complete preemployment screenings, including a federal background check, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, and drug screen. A Top-Secret clearance is required for this role.
