The Electrician II serves as a critical technical resource for planning and executing all electrical work within the facility. This role encompasses the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of production machinery, facility electrical equipment (including panelboards, transformers, and lighting), and general wiring. The position requires a collaborative approach, working closely with production personnel, engineering, mechanics, and contractors to ensure operational continuity and safety.
In this role, you will utilize PLC software to troubleshoot manufacturing machinery and perform preventive maintenance activities. You will also identify opportunities for energy-saving initiatives and process improvements. The work involves using various testing instruments to diagnose issues on power and control circuits, installing network wiring, and documenting all maintenance requests via the maintenance management system. Adherence to safety regulations, including the NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace and the MA Electrical Code, is paramount, with all work expected to be completed in a neat and workmanlike manner.
