In this role, you will operate with complete technical competence on all security systems, resolving or guiding others through very complex problem resolutions. You will be responsible for the programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance of security systems in strict adherence to contract obligations. Your work involves providing detailed information to communicate designs to customers, installation teams, service teams, and subcontractors.
You will act as a technical resource for the team, potentially mentoring Security Technicians on tools and technology. A key part of your day involves proactive customer interactions; you will communicate with customers upon arrival and before leaving the work site, gaining an in-depth understanding of their needs and current systems. This includes planning for future needs by recommending complete system enhancements and promoting the sale of add-on work. You will also assist engineering and sales by providing technical recommendations for job layouts and bid proposals, and may create and present field proposals for small projects.
