This is a full-time, in-house maintenance position designed to ensure the continuous operation of our chemical plant. As an Electrical Maintenance Technician, you will be the backbone of our facility's electrical infrastructure, responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of critical systems. Your work directly supports mission-critical production, ranging from high-voltage substations and switchyard equipment up to 13,800 volts to complex PLCs, robotics, and HVAC systems.
The role demands a high degree of technical precision and adaptability within a continuous operation environment. You will not only repair existing equipment but also manage the installation of new conduit and wiring while removing obsolete systems. A significant part of your day involves investigating quality and productivity issues, implementing solutions, and maintaining rigorous safety standards around high-voltage equipment.
Your day will be a blend of proactive maintenance and reactive problem-solving. You will conduct 5S inspections to maintain excellent housekeeping and document all maintenance activities through detailed quality records and log sheets. When mission-critical equipment breaks down, you will be expected to respond to off-shift call-ins to restore operations quickly.
You will utilize CMMS software (SAP preferred) to close work orders, procure materials, and research equipment history. The role requires significant computer skills, including operating DCS process control computers and mastering plant databases. You will also engage in self-directed training to stay updated on complex operating instructions and hazardous waste handling procedures.
