The Electrician plays a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of electrical systems in both residential and commercial settings. This position is dedicated to interpreting blueprints and schematics to install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures. The role exists to troubleshoot complex electrical issues, implementing solutions that not only meet but exceed customer expectations while strictly adhering to local and national electrical codes.
You will work primarily in a field environment, navigating the interior and exterior of customer properties. Your day involves physically demanding tasks, including lifting and maneuvering objects up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, and working in tight spaces or varying weather conditions. You will utilize personal protective equipment such as safety footwear, goggles, gloves, and respirators to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others.
Communication is a key part of your workflow; you will coordinate with clients, supervisors, and team members to discuss project requirements and provide timely updates. Whether diagnosing circuit faults, replacing defective components, or completing necessary paperwork for regulatory compliance, your focus remains on accuracy, safety, and quality.
Candidates must possess a valid electrician license or certification and have relevant work experience in residential, commercial, or industrial settings. Completion of an apprenticeship program or technical training is preferred. The selection process includes a background screen, drug test, and motor vehicle records check. Additionally, candidates must have a valid driver's license and an insurable driving history to operate company vehicles.
The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM. However, flexibility is required as additional evening, night, and weekend hours may be necessary to address emergencies or meet specific customer needs.
