This position supports the Navy Research Laboratory (NRL) with projects in oceanography, acoustics, geospatial modeling, and mine warfare, providing applied research and software development. Team members, who possess both scientific expertise and software coding skills, work closely with the customer to deliver exceptional operational products.
Peraton is looking for an Electronics Engineer in the Power Systems and Instrumentation Section in the Spacecraft Engineering Division of the NRL. This role is responsible for the design, development, and test of circuit card assemblies and electronics boxes for space flight hardware. You will collaborate with a small team of engineers, customers, and others to discuss existing or potential products, creating and building spacecraft control, motor control, and health monitoring electronics. The day-to-day involves designing test equipment to validate hardware requirements, using computer-aided software to place and route printed circuit boards, and overseeing their manufacturing. You will also analyze designs for proper operation, prepare technical documentation, and present and defend designs to broader audiences for review and approval.
