About the Role
As an Electrical Technician 2, you will be instrumental in installing electrical systems for new construction, upfit, and remodel projects. Working directly under the supervision of a crew leader or foreman, you will operate with minimal oversight to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet safety standards.
Your day-to-day involves a blend of technical precision and field adaptability. You will measure, bend, thread, and install various types of electrical conduit—including MC, EMT, rigid raceways, and PVC—at grade level, elevated heights using ladders and lifts, or in trenches. You will be responsible for setting up for wire installation, pulling wire, and operating wire tuggers efficiently. Additionally, you will terminate panels, set fixtures, install devices, and manage cable tray installations.
Success in this role requires strong organizational skills and the ability to interpret job drawings to facilitate accurate system installation. You will establish material lists, communicate special equipment needs, and work toward weekly benchmark objectives. Maintaining a personal tool cache and adhering to strict safety protocols, including the use of assigned PPE, are essential to fostering a positive, safety-oriented work environment.
