The Electrical Superintendent at Owen Electric Company leads the safe installation of electrical systems for large-scale commercial and multifamily construction projects. This role oversees the entire lifecycle of the work, from power distribution and rough-in phases to trim, finish work, and final punch. The position exists to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in strict adherence to the scope of work and project schedules.
In this capacity, you will manage electrical materials, tools, and equipment assigned to the job site while reviewing project documents, drawings, wiring diagrams, and specifications. You will layout project work to ensure resources are available to meet construction timelines. Success in this role requires a track record of running multi-million-dollar commercial electrical projects from the ground up to completion, demonstrating in-depth knowledge of the NEC, local building codes, industry standards, and jobsite safety requirements.
The day-to-day involves effectively interacting with management, support staff, field personnel, trade contractors, vendors, and clients. While the role demands flexibility to work hours required to maintain the project schedule—including potential long hours or weekends—it also requires the ability to operate various tools and equipment on an as-needed basis, such as wire tuggers, conduit benders, lifts, and heavy machinery like backhoes and trenchers.
