About the Role
This position serves as a critical link between engineering requirements and physical execution, focusing on the design, development, and modification of shelter drawings and electrical systems. The role exists to ensure that every shelter project is accurately translated from bid letters, customer specifications, and supplied drawings into precise, buildable technical documentation.
In this capacity, you will manage the full lifecycle of design deliverables. Your day involves breaking down complex customer data to drive shelter design, performing rigorous calculations for AC services, HVAC, energy loads, and structural integrity, and preparing detailed Bill of Materials (BOM) work orders concurrently with the drawing process. Accuracy is paramount, as you are responsible for the integrity of the detailed drawings produced.
Beyond the desk, the role requires active collaboration. You will provide technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff, and customers, occasionally traveling to support these interactions. This position demands a blend of technical precision in architectural, mechanical, and electrical fields, paired with strong communication skills to bridge the gap between design intent and operational reality.
