About the Role

This role serves as the lead Electrical Engineer, guiding projects from the pre-sales stage through to final commissioning. You will be responsible for creating designs that meet or exceed Vertiv's quality requirements while adhering to budgetary constraints. The position involves designing optimal UPS power systems, DC power systems, switchgear configurations, and ground fault protective schemes to support automated transfer operations.

You will collaborate with various disciplines, including general contractors, architects, business units, and preferred vendors to specify appropriate electrical equipment and create comprehensive construction document sets. A key part of your day involves managing contracted integration companies to ensure detailed schematic, detail, and construction drawings are produced. You will also provide technical support for information requests, review product submittals, and define project scopes during construction phases.

The role requires significant interaction with local agencies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and municipal building codes. You will work closely with commissioning teams to test and validate the installation, operation, and performance of electrical systems. This position involves occasional travel (5% - 10%) to sites for reviews, engineering evaluations, system audits, and start-up support alongside onsite field engineers. You will be expected to offer creative, out-of-the-box solutions to customers, ensuring cost reduction without impacting quality, reliability, or maintainability.

Hiring Process & Application

To apply, please visit the company's career page located on Vertiv.com/Careers. We do not accept unsolicited resumes from agencies; Vertiv will only employ those who are legally authorized to work in the United States. This position does not offer sponsorship for work authorization.
