AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We are the team that keeps the cloud running, supporting every AWS data center and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We tackle the most challenging problems, managing thousands of variables impacting the global supply chain.
You will join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. We collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. Our culture is inclusive, welcoming bold ideas and empowering you to own them to completion.
The AWS Data Center Global Services team is seeking an exceptional individual to contribute to the Controls & Technology organization by joining the Controls Design Engineering (CDE) team. The CDE primary responsibility is to track, document, communicate, and enhance global data center design standards with a focus on control, automation, and electrical power monitoring systems.
As an EPMS Controls Design Engineer, you will serve as the single point of contact for multiple internal and external customers, uniting efforts across new construction builds, legacy site enhancement projects, and data center service projects. You will drive significant reductions in change order expenses, scope gaps, construction delays, and vendor costs by maintaining, updating, and distributing BMS/EPMS standards. Your work will involve collaborating through design reviews, driving consistent standards, and collecting feedback data to arrive at unified documented solutions.
This role offers the chance to make history at a company whose potential has no limits. You will interact with AWS cloud services to present, archive, and analyze accumulated data, while anticipating roadblocks and managing risks in high-security critical environments. Travel may be required globally to manage and support project initiatives.
