As an Electrical Engineer, you will lead the design and development of complex electrical systems for building projects across the nation. Taking full ownership of electrical system design, analysis, and coordination, you will serve as the Engineer of Record for applicable project disciplines. Your work ensures the technical accuracy and overall quality of electrical aspects from conceptual design through construction completion.
You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs. This includes coordinating with local utilities, performing load calculations and short-circuit analysis, and developing detailed drawings that integrate with architectural, mechanical, and structural systems. The role involves conducting site visits for installation reviews, system evaluations, and commissioning support, as well as reviewing submittals and shop drawings to ensure compliance with quality standards.
Beyond technical execution, you will play a key role in value engineering to optimize designs for energy efficiency and sustainability. You will also assist in budgeting, cost estimating, and project scheduling while providing mentorship to junior engineers on code compliance, permitting, and design best practices. This is a client-facing position with opportunities for business development and expanding client relationships within a collaborative team environment.
