The Electrical Engineer 1 serves as a vital member of the engineering department, reporting directly to the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager. This role is designed for a professional who thrives in a team environment, capable of independently designing new products or re-designing existing ones. The position bridges the gap between schematic design and physical reality, ensuring that control cabinets, layouts, and BOMs are not only accurate but also compliant with all safety requirements.
Day-to-day, you will utilize the most current design techniques and tools to create schematics and layouts that balance cost, manufacturability, reliability, and service requirements. Beyond the drawing board, the role demands hands-on engagement with the equipment. You will perform commissioning and debugging, safely energizing machines for "wet tests" and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) to assure the product is built exactly "as designed."
As a collaborative partner, you will lead team meetings, design reviews, and kick-off sessions while interacting closely with Manufacturing, Technical Support Services (TSS), Sales, and Purchasing. You will also contribute to Risk Assessment sessions and ensure all applicable requests for change are reviewed and approved with proper documentation recorded.
