About the Role

As an ELA Teacher, you will facilitate student comprehension and application of concepts that contribute to the development of mature, responsible members of society. Your mission is to ensure continuous improvement in state and national performance levels, preparing students for college and careers in a global society.

In this role, you will implement 21st-century skills into the curriculum and plan a variety of instruction strategies tailored to the needs and capabilities of your students. You will manage the classroom environment to maximize student achievement, assessing abilities against desired educational goals and Head Start Performance Standards. Beyond the classroom, you will actively participate in professional growth, collaborate with program personnel on instructional goals, and serve as a family advocate within the district-wide system, including participating in home visits.
