If you said YES, then you could be a great fit as an EKG Technician Instructor! This role is part of our Faculty family within the Healthcare/Education industry. We are seeking an instructor who is supportive, decisive, comprehensive, process-oriented, and receptive to feedback.
As an EKG Technician Instructor, you will prepare and lecture on specified content utilizing the school's textbook, administer academic and skills assessments according to the syllabus, and lead hands-on skills labs including skill demonstration and student feedback. You will maintain accurate student records and paperwork, including attendance, notes on student progress and conduct, and recording and reporting of grades. Additionally, you will complete tasks required by the beginning of a class session, such as handling student payments and accepting documentation, while practicing within the rules and regulations of the school and the state in which the school is located.
You will follow the curriculum set by the Ohio School of Phlebotomy and approved by the state in which the school is located. We value instructors who support students with empathy and kindness while maintaining positive professional boundaries, adapt their teaching style to aid students that learn differently, and recognize student strengths and weaknesses. You will take ownership of your decisions, be punctual and prepared for class, and effectively manage class time to cover all material while adhering to specific state-regulated time requirements.
We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 3 years of relevant field experience as an EKG Technician or similar/more advanced practice (EMT, Physician's Assistant, LPN, etc.), a high school diploma or equivalent, and authorization to work in the US. Previous teaching experience is not required.
This is an onsite position with compensation ranging from $20 - $24/Hour (DOE).
