This position is integral to the Dallas Independent School District's mission of providing high-quality education to all students. As a teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing lesson plans that align with the district's curriculum program and state guidelines established by the Texas Education Agency. Your role involves presenting subject matter in a way that accommodates diverse learning styles, establishing efficient classroom management procedures, and maintaining standards of pupil behavior.
You will work collaboratively with other professional staff to assess and support students' health, attitude, and learning needs. The position requires active engagement with the community through activities such as open houses and PTA meetings, as well as providing counseling support to students and parents before and after school. Additionally, you may be tasked with planning and coordinating the work of aides, paraprofessionals, and student teachers.
This is a campus-based position requiring regular and punctual attendance at the worksite; remote work or alternate work arrangements are not available. The work environment typically features a moderate noise level, and travel throughout the district is an essential part of the job duties.
