At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling – to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today’s mission and stay ahead of tomorrow’s threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
Raytheon's Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry (TM) and Flight Termination Systems (FTS). The department also develops power systems ranging from the all-up round to the lowest level power regulation, servo electronics supporting mechanical motion, and low noise mixed signal electronics that provide the analog-to-digital interface to front-end sensors. These products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges (less than 10kW and 1000V).
The Telemetry and Flight Termination Systems team specifically develops system designs focused on supporting effector flight tests. We adhere to rigorous standards from the Range Commanders Council, Federal Communications Commission, and the National Security Agency in the design and utilization of our products. Our work involves performing make/buy trade studies, designing application-specific Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, and collaborating with leading industry suppliers of antennas, transmitters, encoders, and flight termination components.
We are looking for junior engineers to join this critical team. In this role, you will help design Telemetry and Flight Termination Systems that are vital to national security. You will serve as the "Responsible Engineering Authority" for FTS and/or TM designs, ensuring that every component meets the highest standards of safety and performance. Your work will directly contribute to the development of electronics that support flight tests and protect our nation.
This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret) on day one, and U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only citizens are eligible for such clearances. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations in Tucson, AZ, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote. Please note that this is an onsite role, as employees working onsite are essential to the development of our products.
