At Raytheon, the foundation of everything we do is rooted in our values and a higher calling—to help our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We bring the strength of more than 100 years of experience and renowned engineering expertise to meet the needs of today's mission and stay ahead of tomorrow's threat. Our team solves tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world.
Raytheon's Effector Analog & Power (EAP) Team is responsible for the development, from concept to integration, of Telemetry and Flight Termination products. The department also handles power systems ranging from the all-up round to the lowest level power regulation, servo electronics supporting mechanical motion, and low noise mixed signal electronics that provide the analog-to-digital interface to front-end sensors. These products generally operate in lower power and voltage ranges (less than 10kW and 1000V).
The Telemetry and Flight Termination Systems team specifically develops system designs focused on supporting effector flight tests. We adhere to rigorous standards from the Range Commanders Council, Federal Communications Commission, and the National Security Agency in the design and utilization of our products. Our work involves performing make/buy trade studies, designing application-specific Printed Circuit Board Assemblies, and collaborating with leading industry suppliers of antennas, transmitters, encoders, and flight termination components.
We are looking for junior engineers to join the EAP Team to help design Telemetry (TM) and Flight Termination Systems (FTS). In this role, you will serve as the "Responsible Engineering Authority" (REA) for FTS and/or TM designs. You will be instrumental in seeing PCB development through its design phases, from requirements definition through initial integration testing. Your work will ensure that all generated analysis and documentation verify compliance with program and performance requirements, contributing directly to the safety and security of our nation's defense capabilities.
This position requires an active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance (DoD Secret) prior to your start date. U.S. citizenship is mandatory as only citizens are eligible for this clearance. The DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process.
As part of our commitment to maintaining a secure hiring process, candidates may be asked to attend select steps of the interview process in-person at one of our office locations in Tucson, AZ, regardless of whether the role is designated as on-site, hybrid, or remote.
Please note that RTX anticipates the application window closing approximately 40 days from the date the notice was posted, though business necessity may require us to shorten or extend this window.
Our values drive our actions, behaviors, and performance with a vision for a safer, more connected world. At RTX, we value Trust, Respect, Accountability, Collaboration, and Innovation.
