The Inpatient EEG Manager serves as the strategic leader for the 24/7 Inpatient EEG Services at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), overseeing operations for both adult and pediatric patients. Reporting directly to the Neurophysiology Clinical Services Director, this role is pivotal in ensuring the delivery of high-quality neurodiagnostic care across MUSC's Regional Health Network and affiliated hospitals throughout South Carolina.
Beyond daily operations, the Manager is responsible for the strategic expansion of EEG services and the maintenance of critical program accreditations, including the Long-Term EEG Monitoring – Critical Care EEG Monitoring Program and the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit Program. These programs must adhere to rigorous standards set by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) and the National Association of Epilepsy Centers (NAEC). The position holds significant financial responsibility and authority over hiring, promotion, and termination, requiring a leader who can drive process improvements, enhance workflows, and collaborate with executive leadership to meet key operational goals.
