This position sits within the Research and Innovation Directory, specifically in the Biopulp Education and Technology area. Based in the USA but aligned with the Brazil unit structure, the role serves as a critical bridge between technical R&D and the customer experience. The primary mission is to drive the adoption of biopulp solutions by conducting structured training on eucalyptus applications, fiber refining, and fiber properties tailored to regional and customer-specific needs.
You will act as a technical authority, performing audits of refining and paper production lines to uncover opportunities for biopulp integration. The role involves leading customer site visits, executing technical trials, and translating complex customer needs into actionable insights for product and process innovation. By demonstrating biopulp's performance against other fibers and creating region-specific educational content, you will help optimize furnishes and maximize biopulp value in blends.
We are looking for a professional with a strong background in Chemistry or Engineering, ideally holding a Bachelor's degree in Chemical, Process, or Pulp and Paper Engineering. With at least five years of experience in refining or paper manufacturing, you possess deep industry knowledge and the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving environments. Fluency in English is mandatory, and proficiency in Portuguese or German is a significant advantage given the global scope of the team.
Beyond technical expertise, you bring strong analytical thinking and proactive leadership. You are comfortable traveling up to 50% within the USA and occasionally to EMEA and Brazil to support customer engagements and pilot projects. Experience in customer-facing roles, such as technical sales or services, and familiarity with innovation projects will help you excel in designing customized technical experiences for our clients.
