The Editorial Assistant at NCCER serves as a vital connector within our content development ecosystem. Working closely with cross-functional teams of technical writers, editors, illustrators, layout specialists, permissions experts, and subject matter experts (SMEs), this role ensures the successful creation, revision, and delivery of training materials used globally. Your work directly supports the development of craft-specific content that trains construction professionals at high schools, vocational schools, colleges, and training centers.
As a detail-oriented and enthusiastic team member, you will organize manuscripts and visual assets while providing the administrative backbone necessary to keep projects on time and accurate. This position is ideal for someone who learns quickly, possesses strong communication skills, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where adaptability and a collaborative mindset are essential.

Basic knowledge of construction safety regulations and industry standards. Knowledge of the construction industry, career technical education (CTE), and/or vocational training. Familiarity with instructional design principles and/or adult learning concepts, especially for hands-on or skills-based training. Experience with a Learning Management System (LMS), content management systems (CMS), or Adobe Creative Cloud tools. Understanding of copyright, permissions, and asset licensing processes.
