About the Role
This position serves as a vital link for low-income individuals and families in Yankton, South Dakota. You will assess and analyze current life circumstances and financial capabilities to provide assistance and services. Your day will involve interviewing and counseling clients, identifying available resources, and verifying collateral information to determine eligibility for multiple social service programs.
You will act as a guide, responding to public inquiries and interpreting complex rules, regulations, and policies to ensure benefits and services are provided effectively and expediently. The goal is to assist individuals in achieving basic self-sufficiency while maintaining strict confidentiality and representing the Department with integrity and enthusiasm.
