Guided by our "True North," we are making King County a welcoming community where every person can thrive. We value diversity, inclusion, and belonging in our workplace and workforce. To reach this goal, we are committed to workforce equity, ensuring our recruiting, support, and retention practices advance our guiding principles: we are one team, we solve problems, we focus on the customer, we drive for results, we are racially just, we respect all people, we lead the way, and we are responsible stewards.
The Department values diverse perspectives and life experiences. We encourage people of all backgrounds to apply, including Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, immigrants, refugees, women, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, veterans, and those with lived experiences.
The Senior Evaluator supports the Early Support for Infants and Toddlers (ESIT) program within the Developmental Disabilities and Early Childhood Supports (DDECS) Division. ESIT provides services to more than 7,000 children aged birth to three years with developmental delays or disabilities and their families each year, funded in part by Best Starts for Kids (BSK).
This role is centrally located within the Performance Measurement and Evaluation (PME) unit of the DCHS Director's Office. You will work closely with a team of evaluators to design frameworks, measure outcomes, and drive continuous improvement. Your mission is to lead evaluation efforts for ESIT services, language access, policy efforts, provider workforce development, and community engagement strategies. You will ensure these efforts are effective, equitable, and grounded in racial, social, and disability justice principles. By fostering data-driven decision-making and sharing findings through reports and dashboards, you will help strengthen equity and service effectiveness across the department.
The PME Unit provides evaluation expertise, data management, and analytics across DCHS programs. We collaborate with staff and community partners to build capacity for data-informed decision-making. The DDECS Division is responsible for planning and maintaining services for children from prenatal to five, their families, and caregivers, as well as people with developmental disabilities. The division seeks team members who are committed to promoting racial, social, disability justice, and economic equity for all people in King County.
