The Summer Associate position is a full-time internship within our consulting staff. This role is designed for candidates with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and July 2027.
The BRG Corporate Finance practice specializes in providing strategic, operational, and financial advice to private equity firms, management teams, boards of directors, investors, hedge funds, and other lenders or companies that are either underperforming or in transition. With in-depth experience across a wide range of industries—including retail, consumer products, financial services, healthcare, energy, and technology—BRG employs experienced professionals who understand the unique challenges clients face.
Our five core service offerings include Turnaround & Restructuring (T&R), Strategic Performance Solutions (SPS), Retail Performance Improvement (RPI), Transaction Advisory (TA), and Transaction & Valuation Opinions (VAL). The Turnaround & Restructuring practice is currently expanding due to client demand and market opportunities.
As a Summer Associate in the Salt Lake City office, you will join a team-oriented environment working on a diverse range of turnaround advisory assignments. The work is largely quantitative but requires strong qualitative skills to articulate findings and recommendations around key financial, business issues, and value drivers.
You will be a highly motivated problem solver with strong analytical abilities, ready to advance within a rapidly growing expert services and consulting firm. Your day-to-day will involve database creation and analysis, financial modeling, industry and subject-matter research, data collection, reconstruction of accounting records, benchmarking, valuation, and tax-related work. You will assist in preparing reports, written analyses, and presentations for clients, ensuring high standards of professionalism, ethics, and quality.
