About the Team
The Children Service Center is seeking an Early Childhood Classroom Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In partnership with The Counseling Connection, we are dedicated to delivering therapeutic services to preschool and early elementary-aged children within a classroom setting. Our mission is to address the social, emotional, and behavioral needs of young learners through a supportive, inclusive culture focused on wellness and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities
- check_circleProvide individual and small-group therapy to early childhood students in classroom settings
- check_circleConduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans and goals
- check_circleCollaborate with teachers to integrate therapeutic strategies into daily classroom routines
- check_circleEngage and educate families, providing regular updates and care coordination
- check_circleMaintain accurate clinical documentation and progress notes in compliance with regulations
- check_circleParticipate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case consultations
- check_circleImplement trauma-informed and evidence-based interventions
- check_circleProvide crisis intervention and behavioral support as needed
Requirements
- verifiedActive Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent state license
- verifiedEligibility for West Virginia LPC or similar behavioral health license
- verifiedCPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- verifiedBackground check and child abuse clearances
Nice to Have
Early childhood or school-based counseling experience. Training in trauma-informed care.
