As a Duty Officer Supervisor within the Capitol Police division of the Department of Law Enforcement, you will serve as the operational backbone for the electronic security system and communications network that protect the Capitol Building, Capitol Center, and statewide facilities. This position is critical for maintaining the integrity of the security program, ensuring the safety of personnel and visitors, and coordinating responses to emergencies across the complex.
You will operate on a rotating shift basis, acting as the central point of contact for both sworn and non-sworn personnel. Your day involves monitoring surveillance equipment, managing elevator systems during emergencies, and directing law enforcement resources when dangerous situations arise. Beyond technical oversight, you will supervise the training and development of dispatch and communications staff, ensuring the team is prepared to handle high-stress scenarios with precision and clarity.
