As a Cook 1 at the Rainier School Habilitation Center in Buckley, WA, you will play a vital role in a team dedicated to supporting residents with intellectual disabilities. This is a temporary, 24-hour facility position where your work directly contributes to the well-being and happiness of our residents.
You will be part of a mission to partner with people to access support, care, and resources. Imagine the impact of preparing over 10,000 meals and snacks each month, ensuring that every dish is prepared with care, safety, and adherence to specific dietary needs. This position operates on a Thursday through Monday schedule from 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM, with Tuesdays and Wednesdays off. As a 24-hour facility, working on holidays may be required. The role involves interacting with residents, staff, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner, adapting to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Pierce County employees are eligible to receive an Orca Card for transportation needs. Additionally, employees who perform work on-site at this location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay on top of the advertised salary.
