Driving Instructor

About the Role

We are seeking Driving Instructors to join our team across Allegheny, Beaver, Butler, Fayette, Washington, and Westmoreland counties. Whether you prefer full-time or part-time hours, you will play a vital role in preparing students to take to the road safely. Your mission is to teach rules and regulations, proper vehicle handling and maintenance, and essential safety guidelines, while helping students build confidence behind the wheel.

The ideal candidate is comfortable coaching, possesses extensive knowledge of driving safety, and demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will get behind the wheel with students to help them implement their knowledge in a safe and efficient manner, while also communicating effectively with students and their guardians to provide recommendations for future driving practices.

Hiring Process & Certification

If you are currently certified as a driving instructor through the PA Department of Education, you will receive a hiring bonus after six months. All other applicants must pass a written test conducted by the PA Department of Education and a road test conducted by PennDOT. This certification process takes at least four weeks to complete prior to starting work. We support this journey by paying for background checks and providing tutoring for the written test.
