About the Role
This position serves as a Drafter operating with considerable latitude for independent and innovative actions within a technical area. You will design and create layouts for complex major and minor systems, assemblies, and components using various software programs or freehand drawings. The role involves preparing multiple-view mechanical detail and assembly drawings from sketches, existing parts, or verbal instructions, as well as providing complete printed circuit board drawing packages including smart schematics and Gerber files.
You will be expected to research scientific and technical materials to ensure all work conforms to ASME Y14 series and company drafting standards. Additionally, you may provide direction to lower-level drafters and perform routine activities such as revising drawings or creating blocks and cells.

This role is part of a tasking effort in support of a Federal Government Contract. Consequently, candidates must be U.S. citizens. Some positions may require eligibility for a government security clearance, a state-issued driver's license, or other specific certifications; the inability to obtain and maintain these may affect employment eligibility.
Working Conditions
Work is performed in a typical office environment with no unusual hazards, though travel to remote company work locations is required. The role involves constant sitting while using a computer terminal, constant use of sight for reviewing documents, and constant use of speech and hearing for communication. Occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds) and general physical activities such as standing, walking, or climbing may be necessary depending on specific assignments.
