About the Role
V2X is seeking an experienced Chemical Security Subject Matter Expert and Instructor to support the Defense Threat Reduction Agency (DTRA) in building chemical security and CBRN capabilities across Southeast Asia. Based in Kuala Lumpur, you will serve as a Domain Instructor within a team covering seven key program domains, including chemical security management, deterrence, detection, response, and forensics.
This role is ideal for a senior CBRN professional who thrives in multinational environments and enjoys teaching, mentoring, and capacity building. You will deliver training, workshops, and exercises to government, law enforcement, regulatory, and technical audiences across Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Vietnam, and other regional partners. The position involves designing and facilitating 5-day events for approximately 25 attendees, utilizing simulation tools and region-specific examples to ensure practical, scenario-based learning.
Beyond the classroom, you will mentor host nation institutions to build sustainable in-country chemical security programs, conduct capability assessments, and build relationships with partner nation stakeholders and U.S. Government counterparts. This is a dynamic role requiring frequent travel (approximately 50-70%) throughout Southeast Asia to support hands-on exercises and regional symposiums.
