About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic Part-Time and Full-Time Dog Trainers to join our team. In this role, you will work directly with dogs of all ages and sizes—from puppies to seniors—to address behavioral challenges and foster positive habits. Our training philosophy follows the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) theory, prioritizing rewards to guide learning.

A unique aspect of this position involves creating educational content for our clients. You will film yourself working with dogs to demonstrate specific tasks and techniques. These videos are posted to a private Facebook group where clients watch and mimic the training methods you provide. This blend of hands-on training and digital content creation requires a candidate who is comfortable speaking to a camera and engaging with an online community.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include leading pack walks both inside our facility and in outdoor urban environments, assisting dogs in overcoming fears of humans or other animals, and managing reactivity or resource guarding issues. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment, which includes cleaning up after animals. Success in this role requires a positive, can-do attitude, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a genuine desire to provide the best experience for our animal clients and their owners.

Hiring Process

Work Environment

This is a physically active role requiring the ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods (6-9 hours per day). You must be comfortable in a loud environment where you can hear dogs and staff clearly at all times; therefore, the use of earbuds, headphones, or earplugs is not permitted. Candidates must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs and handle situations where dogs may jump or wrap leashes around legs. Safety and security for both staff and animals are our top priorities.
