We seek anthropologists from across the subfields with innovative theoretical approaches to the study of religion. We are open to scholars working in any region or religious tradition, broadly construed, with particular interest in those whose areas of expertise complement those of the existing faculty.
The successful candidate will be deeply committed to teaching and mentoring a diverse student population in both introductory and advanced courses. Beyond the classroom, the role involves active collaboration to serve the Department, the School, and the College. CUNY provides mentoring and support for research, scholarship, and publication as part of our commitment to ongoing faculty professional development.
