As a DME Tech, you will be the vital link between our clinical team and our patients, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of durable medical equipment. This role exists to support patients in both hospital and community settings by managing the entire lifecycle of their equipment—from selection and fitting to delivery, maintenance, and pickup. You will work with walkers, wheelchairs, oxygen equipment, and home safety devices, ensuring that every interaction is characterized by safety, accuracy, and excellent service.
In your day-to-day, you will collaborate closely with nurses, therapists, and case managers to coordinate timely equipment solutions. Your responsibilities include educating patients and their families on the proper use and care of their devices through demonstration and return demonstration. You will also maintain detailed documentation in electronic systems and manage inventory to ensure supplies are always ready for patient needs. By adhering to strict infection prevention and safety protocols, you help maintain a safe environment for everyone.
