The District Office Administrative Assistant serves as a vital liaison between the Superintendent, the Board of Education, and the broader community. This role is designed to support the Superintendent in the discharge of responsibilities, with a specific emphasis on managing communications with school organizations, public agencies, and community groups. As a Non-exempt position, the incumbent acts as both an executive assistant and a key administrative hub, organizing office activities and handling complex technical and legal procedures.
The position requires a unique blend of high-level secretarial support and financial administration. Beyond standard executive assistance, the role includes preparing committee and Board minutes and managing accounts payable twice monthly. The incumbent will also serve as a primary information source regarding District policies, ensuring the District's website remains current with agendas, meeting minutes, and public notices.
