We are looking for a dedicated Dispatcher to join our team and help keep our operations running smoothly.

About the Role

As a Dispatcher, you will be the vital link between the Plant Manager, our truck drivers, and our customers. In this role, you will assist in managing the daily activities of the location's truck drivers, ensuring that every delivery and service request is handled with precision. You will be responsible for scheduling and dispatching drivers to appropriate locations based on customer needs, utilizing radios and telephones to maintain constant communication.

Your day will involve arranging necessary vehicle repairs to restore service and schedules, preparing daily driver work and run schedules, and overseeing all communications within your assigned territories. You will act as the primary point of contact for relaying work orders, messages, and information between drivers and supervisors, while also conferring directly with customers to address questions, problems, and service requests. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount as you maintain comprehensive driver files and records of customer requests, services performed, charges, expenses, and inventory.

Work Environment

The work environment is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. You may encounter extreme conditions, including heat, cold, and air particulates. The role requires the ability to repetitively lift up to 50-75 pounds and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts of varying lengths. The noise level is dependent on the specific location, and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required, including eye protection, safety shoes, and ear protection at several locations. Specific vision abilities, including close, distance, and color vision, are necessary for this position.
