Material Handler

About the Role

This position serves as a critical link in our Mx Materials operations, ensuring the seamless flow of aircraft parts and materials required for maintenance. The role exists to maintain inventory integrity, prevent flight delays, and support the organization's mission of safe and timely aircraft operations. You will be responsible for the accurate acquisition, handling, and distribution of parts, acting as a self-starter who provides excellent customer service to various departments.

Day in the Life

Your day involves a dynamic mix of warehouse management and logistical coordination. You will inspect incoming parts, log data into our computer tracking systems, and manage complex transactions including returns, transfers, and bin movements. A significant portion of your time will be dedicated to ensuring compliance with strict FAA and Environmental Protection Agency regulations, particularly regarding hazardous materials and the prevention of Suspected Unapproved Parts (SUP) entering our inventory.

You will work in an open-air hangar environment, which may expose you to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise. The role requires physical capability to lift or move up to 50 pounds and the ability to operate machinery such as forklifts. You will also manage shipping functions for both hazardous and non-hazardous materials, including creating counter-to-counter shipments for air transport.

Hiring Process

Candidates must possess a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record and be willing to travel up to 10% of the time for training and company needs. The role supports 24-hour operations, requiring flexibility with scheduling. Successful applicants will demonstrate the ability to apply common sense to solve problems involving concrete variables and communicate effectively across departments.
