The Directory Services Engineer serves as a critical engineering resource for a large-scale, on-premise Active Directory environment. This role is dedicated to the full lifecycle of AD testing, engineering, and support infrastructure, ensuring the stability and security of the organization's identity management backbone.
You will act as the bridge between complex technical requirements and operational reality. Your work involves managing domain creation, Group Policy administration, and security enhancements while overseeing critical support infrastructures such as backup and restore procedures, Privileged Access Workstations, and security monitoring. The position requires balancing tactical daily operations with strategic engineering goals to maintain a stable framework.
Your day will likely involve collaborating with Engineering and Operations teams to execute large-scale projects and representing AD Engineering in cross-organizational efforts. You will manage the engineering lifecycle for AD enhancement efforts, reviewing application interactivity in lab contexts before they reach UAT or Production to ensure they do not negatively impact AD functionality.
Beyond project work, you will manage the Lab Server fleet, perform post-patching checkouts, and respond to user issues ranging from logon and password problems to account lockouts. You will also assist application managers in establishing AD connectivity and handle requests for Groups, Organizational Units (OUs), and Users. Success in this role requires the ability to communicate effectively with senior management, customers, and end-users, breaking down silos to achieve global collaboration.

8+ years' experience supporting Windows Server OS. SQL Server and/or PowerShell scripting experience. Any relevant technology certifications.
Skills: Active Directory, Group Policies, Ldap, Kerberos, NTLM Authentication, Pki, Windows Server, Entra Id, Ad Backup And Recovery, SQL Server.
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
