BMS Family Health Center is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) dedicated to providing equitable, culturally competent healthcare to underserved communities. Our mission centers on improving maternal and child health outcomes through comprehensive, patient-centered services.
The Director of Nutrition Services (DNS) serves as the strategic and operational leader for our clinical nutrition and dietary programs. This role exists to ensure the seamless delivery of timely, interdisciplinary services that meet the diverse nutritional, educational, and health needs of our patients, program participants, and community members.
As a key member of the leadership team, you will direct the integration and administration of the WIC Program. You will oversee program staff, drive operational performance, and lead community outreach initiatives while ensuring strict regulatory compliance. Your work will directly advance maternal and child health outcomes, fostering a collaborative environment that supports equitable healthcare access.
In this role, you will balance high-level strategic planning with hands-on clinical leadership. You will develop and implement nutrition policies, quality standards, and evidence-based practices across all BMS Family Health & Wellness Centers. Your day will involve collaborating with physicians, nurses, and care teams to coordinate services for pregnant women, postpartum mothers, infants, and children.
You will also manage the full lifecycle of the WIC program, from monitoring enrollment and retention metrics to ensuring fiscal responsibility and regulatory adherence. Beyond administration, you will foster a positive, inclusive work environment by recruiting, mentoring, and developing your team, while actively engaging with community partners to strengthen local health initiatives.
Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter detailing their experience in nutrition services and WIC program management. The selection process includes a review of qualifications, followed by interviews with the leadership team to assess clinical expertise, leadership style, and cultural fit.
