Director of Nursing

About the Role

The Director of Nursing serves as the accountable leader for all aspects of Emergency Services, providing strategic and operational leadership for the Medical Center. This role exists to design and implement innovative programs that improve patient outcomes while ensuring high-quality, cost-effective care across the continuum.

In this position, you will drive continuous improvement in outcomes, cost of care, and patient satisfaction. You will partner with quality leadership to ensure compliance with accreditation standards and advance the organization toward becoming a highly reliable entity. The role requires close collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, hospital leadership, and system executives to enhance care coordination and service delivery.

Day in the Life

Your leadership will focus on elevating clinical performance and the patient experience. You will oversee ongoing staff education, competency, and adherence to clinical and patient safety standards. A key part of your mission is supporting provider and staff recruitment, retention, and engagement. Through inspirational leadership, you will demonstrate a commitment to patient-centered outcomes and foster a culture of excellence.

This leadership position is full-time and exempt. Candidates will be evaluated on their ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and their experience in budgeting, financial management, and resource allocation within acute care settings.
